 The central policy question of this campaign is not simply what government should provide, but what government can help people and communities build for themselves. 

1. FINISH THE JOB IN FLINT 

Resolve the Water Crisis Completely 

Advocate for special federal investment sufficient to finish replacement of remaining water-service infrastructure all the way from municipal systems into affected homes. Public trust requires government to accept responsibility for making harmed communities whole. 

2. BUILD WHAT COMES NEXT 

A Citizen-Led Regional Economic Plan 

Convene municipal governments, businesses, labor, educational institutions, civic organizations, neighborhood leadership, entrepreneurs, and ordinary citizens in an open regional economic-revitalization planning process. Federal resources should support a locally rooted strategy rather than impose another Washington formula. 

3. HEALTHCARE WORTHY OF MICHIGAN 

Benchmark the Best 

Pursue accessible, affordable, preventive healthcare and study high-performing systems, including Massachusetts, to strengthen primary and preventive care, reduce financial burden, and improve outcomes. 

4. EDUCATION FOR THE AI ECONOMY 

Reinvest in Michigan's Human Capital 

Invest in universities, community colleges, technical education, apprenticeships, workforce pathways, lifelong learning, and affordable higher education so Michigan people can lead rather than merely endure technological change. 

5. HOMES PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY AFFORD 

Build Permanent Community Wealth Through Community Land Trusts 

Expand genuinely affordable construction and rehabilitation while supporting Community Land Trusts and other models that preserve affordability and community control over land across generations. 

6. GROW MICHIGAN FROM THE GROUND UP 

Connect Rural and Urban Agriculture Through an 'Agriculture of the Middle'

Connect rural farmers, smaller and midsized producers, urban agriculture, food entrepreneurs, processors, distributors, institutions, and consumers while rebuilding aggregation, processing, distribution, markets, institutional purchasing, land access, and new-enterprise pathways.
